Ferguson House
Cannon

Unlike neighboring houses which date from about 1900, the Ferguson House dates to 1803. Originally a store, the front section is the oldest, and the owners have rehabilitated it to include original wood siding and wood sash. They have added a rear wing which carries through the simple details of the front section. This home is nearing completion and is now an enviable residence on its trellised street just a block and a half from the center of town. It is a short walk to the old wharf on the Chester River. The Ferguson House is furnished with American antiques.
